Planable

Planable puts social content creation, review and approval in one shared space: post previews in feed, calendar, grid and list views, comments, suggestions and annotations on the post itself, customisable multi-step approvals, campaigns, labels and a media library, plus scheduling across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Threads - the first 50 posts are free, then Basic is $33 and Pro $49 per workspace per month with unlimited users.

Overview

Planable is built around a specific bottleneck: the gap between writing social content and getting it approved.

Where a scheduler organises publishing, Planable organises the conversation - every post is previewed the way it will appear on the platform, and feedback lives on the post itself as comments, suggestions and annotations rather than in email threads or spreadsheets.

Teams get a shared workspace per brand or client, four ways to look at a queue (feed, calendar, grid and list), campaigns and labels to group work by initiative or content pillar, a central media library, one-time share links so someone outside the workspace can review without an account, approval workflows with selectable strictness including multi-level sign-off on Enterprise, a kanban approvals tab so nothing is skipped, bulk approval and bulk approval requests, version history and team-only drafts with private notes.

Scheduling covers Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Threads, with an AI layer for generating and rewriting posts, first-comment scheduling, recurring posts and a built-in media editor.

The platform also ships an MCP connector and a public API, with Zapier, Canva and Slack integrations, which is how agencies wire approvals into the tools they already run. For marketing operations the value is measurable in review cycles rather than reach: content stops bouncing between inboxes, approvals happen in context, and clients see exactly what will publish.

Three optional modules extend the platform beyond collaboration - a social inbox for comments and DMs with AI-generated replies and sentiment sorting, analytics with cross-channel, page-level and post-level insights plus custom stakeholder reports and competitor analytics, and social listening covering one brand and three topics - so teams that want scheduling, engagement and measurement in one tool can buy them rather than switch products.

Planable also sits in a product family with SE Ranking and SE Visible, both listed in the same growth-kit menu, which explains the SEO and AI-visibility adjacency.

The honest limits: the approval depth is the reason to choose Planable, so teams that only need to schedule will find cheaper bulk publishers; and the free tier is a trial of volume rather than a plan. Pricing was readable on planable.io/pricing on 28 September 2026.

The first 50 posts are free with no time limit and no credit card, which is enough to run a real approval cycle before buying.

Basic is $33 per workspace per month (60 posts, 4 social pages, 2 approval types, 3 campaigns, 10GB media storage, 1 tweet published per 24 hours, MCP connector), Pro is $49 (150 posts, 10 social pages, 3 approval types, 10 campaigns, 50GB storage, grid view, public API, unlimited tweet publishing) and Enterprise is custom with unlimited posts, multi-level approvals, unlimited campaigns, 50 pages per workspace and SSO.

Users are unlimited on every plan including the free tier - the unit being paid for is the workspace, one per brand or client, with volume discounts beyond five workspaces.

The add-ons are priced per workspace too: analytics and social inbox are listed at $12 and $7.50 per workspace per month in the plan cards ($14 and $9 in the feature comparison), social listening at $82.50 and $99, so a full-stack setup costs noticeably more than the headline plan.

Yearly billing is advertised as two months free.

Use Cases

Running client approvals on a shared calendar instead of email threads and screenshots

Previewing posts in feed and grid views before a brand account publishes anything

Managing several client brands as separate workspaces with labels per campaign

Letting a stakeholder review via a one-time link without creating an account

Wiring approvals and publishing into Zapier, Canva or Slack through the API and MCP connector

Who Is This For

Agencies that need client approval workflows without per-seat costs

In-house social teams coordinating writers, designers and approvers

Multi-brand companies keeping each brand in its own workspace

Freelance social managers who want a professional review step for clients

Marketing teams that plan content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Threads in one calendar

Key Features

Customisable approval workflows

Two, three or four approval types by tier plus multi-level sign-off on Enterprise, a kanban approvals tab that shows what is waiting on whom, bulk approval and bulk approval requests, and team-only drafts that are never visible to clients.

Feed, calendar, grid and list views

Posts are previewed exactly as they will appear on each network and can be read as a scrolling feed, a publishing calendar, a grid, or a planning list - the view you need for reviewing creative differs from the view you need for scheduling.

In-context comments, suggestions and annotations

Feedback attaches to the specific post rather than a thread: comments, suggested edits, text annotations, team-only notes, version history, and one-time share links so a client can review without joining the workspace.

Workspaces, campaigns, labels and media library

One workspace per brand or client keeps pages, campaigns, collaborators and assets separate; labels group posts by campaign or content pillar, views and filters find content fast, and the media library holds all assets with 10GB to 50GB of storage by tier.

MCP connector, public API and add-on modules

An MCP connector and public API are included from Basic, with Zapier, Canva and Slack integrations; optional modules add a social inbox and sentiment sorting, cross-channel analytics with custom reports, and social listening across one brand and three topics.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The first 50 posts are free with no time limit and no credit card, so an approval workflow can be tested with real content before paying
  • Verified on planable.io/pricing, 28 September 2026: Basic $33 and Pro $49 per workspace per month ($41/$61-style monthly rates are higher; yearly billing is advertised as two months free), Enterprise custom
  • Users are unlimited on every plan including free - you pay per workspace (brand or client), not per seat, which is the opposite of most publishing tools
  • Approval depth is the reason to choose it: customisable approval types, multi-level workflows on Enterprise, kanban approvals, bulk approval, one-time client review links and version history
  • An MCP connector and public API on paid tiers, plus Zapier, Canva and Slack integrations, keep approvals inside an existing stack instead of a new silo

Cons

  • Everything is metered per workspace: an agency with six client brands pays six times the plan price, before any add-on, and add-ons are priced per workspace as well ($7.50-$12 for inbox or analytics, $82.50-$99 for social listening as listed)
  • Post volumes are modest - 60 a month on Basic and 150 on Pro per workspace - which is fine for a brand account and tight for a high-frequency publisher
  • Publishing on X is capped at one tweet per 24 hours on Basic, and grid view, the public API and unlimited tweeting start at Pro
  • The free tier is a 50-post allowance rather than a permanent plan, and media storage, version history and archived post retention differ between tiers
  • It is a collaboration-first platform rather than a full social suite: engagement, analytics and listening are add-ons, which means true parity with an all-in-one tool costs more than the plan price suggests

Editorial verdict: Planable solves the least glamorous and most expensive problem in social media - review cycles - and it prices that service honestly by the workspace rather than the seat, which is why small agencies can put five or ten people into an approval flow without a per-user bill. The 50 free posts are a real evaluation path, not a demo. Two caveats to plan for: every additional client brand is another workspace charge, so six brands means six times $33 or $49, and engagement, analytics and listening are add-ons, so a full-stack replacement for an all-in-one tool costs well above the plan price. Buy it for approvals and client review; treat the add-ons as optional.
