Overview

Zapier Agents is the agent product built on top of the Zapier automation platform.

You create an agent, give it instructions, connect the apps it is allowed to touch, and attach knowledge sources such as help docs or FAQs.

From then on the agent can run as a behavior on an event or a schedule, or you can talk to it in chat and confirm what it does.

Every run is visible in an activity log, and Zapier counts each action, web browse or knowledge lookup as one activity.

Anyone can try the product free at agents.zapier.com with a Zapier account. For marketing and revenue teams the value is the catalogue behind it.

Instead of a bespoke integration project, an agent can update HubSpot or Salesforce records, post to Slack, write rows into Google Sheets, pick up new form submissions and draft follow-up copy, because those actions already exist as Zapier app triggers and actions.

Public pricing, checked on 13 September 2026, starts free with 400 activities per month; Agents Pro is 400 US dollars billed annually, shown as 33.33 US dollars per month, for 1,500 activities per month; Enterprise is quoted on request with a custom activity allowance, agent sharing and audit logs.

That makes a first marketing pilot cheap, and the metered model keeps cost tied to usage. The honest limits are scope and control.

An agent only acts inside apps you have connected and only with triggers and actions you have set up, so it is a very good operator and a poor strategist.

Reliability depends heavily on prompt quality, and Zapier itself warns that large language models are non-deterministic, so review steps matter.

It suits teams already living in Zapier and anyone who wants automation without code; it is not a substitute for a dedicated SEO, ad-buying or CRM-specific agent.

Use Cases

Routing new form or ad leads into HubSpot or Salesforce and enriching the record before a rep sees it

Running a weekly campaign performance digest that pulls numbers and posts a summary into Slack

Watching competitor pages or news sources on a schedule and reporting changes to the marketing team

Drafting and queuing follow-up emails for inbound enquiries, with human approval before sending

Keeping spreadsheets, project boards and CRM notes in sync without building one-off Zaps per task

Who Is This For

Marketing operations and RevOps teams already standardised on Zapier

Lean marketing teams without engineers to build custom integrations

Sales teams that want lead routing and follow-up drafting automated

Agencies managing many client stacks and repetitive reporting tasks

Automation builders who want an AI teammate on top of existing Zaps

Key Features

Task Execution Across Apps

Agents act inside the apps you connect, so updating a deal, posting to Slack or writing a row in Google Sheets needs no custom API work.

Event and Schedule Triggers

Run an agent when a form is submitted or a record changes, or put it on a schedule for recurring jobs such as a weekly pipeline digest.

Web Browsing and Knowledge

Agents can browse the web and look up attached knowledge sources such as FAQs and product docs, with each lookup counted as an activity.

Chat and Human Review

Talk to an agent mid-task, ask why it chose an action, and correct the output before it touches customer data or sends anything external.

Activity Log and Team Controls

Every run is logged for review, and higher tiers add agent sharing across an organisation plus enterprise-grade audit logs.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Works with the 9,000+ apps already in the Zapier catalogue, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack and Google Workspace
  • Free tier of 400 activities per month is enough to pilot a real marketing agent before paying
  • Agents can be scheduled, event-triggered or chatted with, and every run appears in an activity log
  • Pro at 33.33 US dollars per month, billed as 400 US dollars annually, covers 1,500 activities per month
  • Existing Zaps and app connections are reusable, so no new integration work is needed to start

Cons

  • Metered by activities: browsing the web and looking up knowledge count, so heavy agents get expensive
  • Reliability tracks prompt quality, and Zapier openly warns that model output is non-deterministic
  • Agents only act in connected apps through actions you configure, so they cannot handle novel tasks for you
  • Best value only if your stack already sits inside Zapier; other ecosystems pay twice in subscriptions

Zapier Agents is the most practical entry point we have seen for delegating marketing operations work to AI, because the agent inherits an app catalogue of more than 9,000 tools instead of requiring new integrations. The published tiers, read on zapier.com/pricing on 13 September 2026, are free at 400 activities per month and Pro at 400 US dollars per year, shown as 33.33 US dollars per month for 1,500 activities, and they are easy to model against a real workload. For teams whose stack already lives in Zapier, this is a low-risk way to test agentic automation.

Our reservation is that an agent is only as good as the guardrails you build. It cannot act in apps you have not connected or with triggers and actions you have not configured, activity metering means browsing and knowledge lookups add cost, and Zapier itself warns that model output is non-deterministic. Treat a new agent as a junior operator that needs review, not as a set-and-forget replacement for a specialist SEO or paid-media tool.
