Taplio Alternatives for Solo Creators: 7 Priced (2026)

Nine of the ten pages ranking for Taplio alternatives sell a tool they rank. We priced seven on vendor pages instead. Read this before you switch.

Nine of the Ten Pages on This Query Sell the Tool They Rank

We searched “Taplio alternatives” on 28 September 2026 and read the ten results. Nine of them are published by a company that sells a LinkedIn content tool, and each of those nine puts its own product in the first slot: Eden on eden.so, exeedin on exeedin.com, ContentIn on contentin.io, Supergrow on supergrow.ai, Co.Actor on co.actor, Oiti on ghostwriting-ai.com, CannerAI on cannerai.com, MagicPost on magicpost.in, VoiceMoat on voicemoat.com. Two of the nine say so in the body text, which is more than most affiliate content manages. The tenth result is a directory listing.

Vendor-written comparisons are sales documents, not audits. The number that cannot be argued with is the price printed on the vendor’s own pricing page, which is why this is a pricing audit rather than another ranking. We sell no LinkedIn tool, so there is nothing here for us to rank first.

The same day, three of the top six results for a Taplio pricing query were Taplio’s own pages. When a vendor owns both the brand query and the alternatives query, the gap in the market is not another list — it is somebody doing the arithmetic on the tiers.

The audience is not in doubt. LinkedIn’s own about page states it has more than 1 billion members across more than 200 countries and territories (about.linkedin.com). The person producing the content is paid too: the US Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the 2025 median wage for public relations specialists — the closest published proxy for whoever runs a firm’s LinkedIn presence — at $74,750 a year, $35.94 an hour (BLS). At that rate, three hours a month of editing costs more than the gap between most plans below.

The $39 Plan Does Not Include AI — That Is Taplio’s Own Accounting

Taplio’s pricing page lists $39 and $69 a month. Its own blog post on pricing spells out the structure, and we would rather quote the vendor than a competitor: Starter is $39 a month, or $32 a month billed annually ($384 a year); Growth is $69 a month, or $49 a month annually ($588 a year); Pro is $199 a month, or $149 a month annually (taplio.com/blog/taplio-pricing, checked 28 September 2026).

Starter buys scheduling, post and profile analytics, the consistency features and the LinkedIn Benchmark. It does not buy the AI writer. Taplio’s post opens by conceding the point — “Starter does not include AI writing” — and argues it is the plan design for people who already write their own posts. A fair position, and clearer than most pricing pages manage. It also fixes the number that matters: if you are shopping because you want drafts, your entry price is $69 a month, $828 a year on monthly billing, or $588 a year paid annually.

Three more lines from the vendor’s pages belong in the comparison: the 7-day trial runs on full Pro access whichever plan you pick, there is a 30-day money-back window after any payment, and the pricing FAQ describes a free companion Chrome extension. Our Taplio tool page carries the feature list; the tiers above decide whether you switch.

Seven Taplio Alternatives, Priced on the Vendors’ Own Pages

Every figure below was read on the vendor’s own pricing page on 28 September 2026, on the billing cycle stated. Where a page was ambiguous, we say so instead of rounding it into a clean number. None of the seven reproduces Taplio’s full loop — the viral post database, the benchmark data and the lead features are specific to it — so the question is which slice you need to buy.

  • Supergrow — the cheapest route to voice-trained drafting. Starter is $19 a month billed monthly and Pro is $39 a month billed monthly, with an annual toggle labelled “save 20%”. Starter includes the Content DNA voice profile, two Postcast AI interview sessions, repurposing, scheduling, kanban and auto first-comment; the carousel maker, infographic generator, Engage, profile analytics and weekly report are Pro-only (supergrow.ai/pricing). For someone who posts text, $19; for carousels and analytics, $39 — still $30 under Taplio’s AI entry tier.
  • MagicPost — the closest tier-for-tier equivalent. Analytics is $21 a month billed annually ($35 monthly, $252 a year) for scheduling and metrics without the AI writer; Creator is $39 a month billed annually ($69 monthly, $468 a year) and adds the post generator, visuals and carousels, idea generator, inspirations library and lead detector. Its pricing page states MagicPost is a LinkedIn-verified partner (magicpost.in/pricing).
  • AuthoredUp — for the consultant who writes their own posts and wants a better editor, not a ghostwriter. Individual is $19.95 a month for one profile; Business is $14.95 per profile per month with a three-profile minimum. Annual billing is $16.63 a month ($199.50 a year) and $12.46 per profile per month ($149.50 a year). There is no post generator by design — the editor, 300+ hooks and post endings, previews and post analytics are the product (authoredup.com/pricing).
  • Buffer — the cheapest way to keep publishing on LinkedIn while you decide on the writing layer. Free covers 10 scheduled posts per channel and one user; Essentials is $5 per channel per month ($60 a year) and Team is $10 per channel per month ($120 a year) with content approval workflows, access levels and unlimited team members (buffer.com/pricing). Two people publishing to LinkedIn on Team is $10 a month against $39 for the cheapest Taplio tier. Our Buffer tool page covers where it stops, which is analytics depth.
  • Metricool — the option when LinkedIn is one of five networks you report on. The free plan manages one brand but its network list excludes LinkedIn and Twitter; the LinkedIn connection starts on Starter, listed from €16 a month on annual billing for up to five brands, with Advanced from €43 a month adding team and client management and role management (metricool.com/pricing). The page defaults to EUR with a USD toggle — check which currency you are reading before you budget.
  • Hootsuite — the per-seat end, for teams rather than solo practices. Its plans page states paid plans start at $99 for Standard, $199 for Professional and range up to $399 for Advanced, per user per month billed annually, with Standard managing up to 10 accounts and a 14-day trial (hootsuite.com/plans). A one-person consultancy pays an enterprise seat price here; the Hootsuite tool page has the tier breakdown if you are pricing a team.
  • Postiv — the highest listed entry price in this set, and the one that bundles strategy with drafting. Creator Pro is $49.50 a month billed $594 yearly for a single LinkedIn seat, Team is $159 a month billed $1,908 yearly for three profiles, and Agency is $99 per workspace per month, all with a 7-day trial (postiv.ai/pricing). The page shows a 50% annual discount on the creator tier, so month-to-month is materially higher than the headline.
  • Read next — the rest of this set covers the same decision from the scheduler side. Buffer alternatives for small agencies runs the per-channel arithmetic, Sprout Social alternatives for small teams handles the profile cap that forces a tier upgrade, and AI social media marketing strategy covers the generation layer upstream of any calendar.

Step by Step: Switching Without Losing a Posting Streak

The subscription is the cheap part of a switch; the fortnight when nothing goes out is the expensive part. This is the sequence we would run, with the pricing checks built in. A solo creator can finish it inside a week.

  • Step 1 — Write down what you actually use, from your last 30 posts. If you never opened the carousel builder or the lead features, they should not enter the price comparison at all.
  • Step 2 — Price your real usage on the entry tier of each candidate, then on the tier that includes the one feature you cannot give up. Supergrow puts carousels and analytics on Pro at $39; MagicPost puts AI writing on Creator at $39 billed annually. The tier that contains your must-have is your entry price, not the headline number.
  • Step 3 — Publish from the new tool for two weeks before cancelling the old one. Import two weeks of drafted posts, schedule them, and check the first comment, formatting and image handling on the live platform. LinkedIn’s own editor renders formatting differently from third-party composers.
  • Step 4 — Export analytics history while you still have access. Post-level performance is the raw material for your next month of topics, and most tools put historical CSV export behind an active subscription.
  • Step 5 — Cancel inside the guarantee window. Taplio gives 30 days from payment for a refund; several tools here offer 7-day trials with no card. Set the cancellation a day before the deadline you were given.
  • Step 6 — Keep the free tier of one scheduler connected during the transition. Buffer’s free plan holds 10 scheduled posts per channel with one user, which is enough to keep a posting streak alive if the migration hits a snag.

A Worked Example: 12 Posts a Month, One Consultant (example)

The person below is an example rather than a customer story: a solo B2B consultant posting three times a week — 12 posts a month — who writes the ideas but wants AI first drafts and one carousel a month for a framework post.

Run the same 12 posts through the verified prices and the spread is wide enough to matter. Time is what shrinks it: at $35.94 an hour, three hours a month of editing saved covers about $108 of software, more than the gap between the cheapest and priciest plans here.

  • Staying on Taplio Growth — $69 a month, $828 a year on monthly billing, or $588 a year paid annually. It buys the AI writer, the post database and the benchmark data, plus the lead features you scroll past.
  • Supergrow Pro — $39 a month, $468 a year, monthly billing. It covers drafting, carousels, analytics and the voice profile. On text-only posting, Starter at $19 a month is $228 a year and still includes AI drafting.
  • MagicPost Creator — $39 a month billed annually, $468 a year, or $69 a month if you refuse annual billing, which erases the saving against Taplio Growth entirely.
  • Buffer Team plus a general-purpose assistant — $120 a year for LinkedIn publishing with approvals, and your existing assistant subscription for drafts. It is the cheapest stack on this page and the one that asks the most of you: no LinkedIn-specific hooks, no viral post research, no carousel generation.
  • AuthoredUp Individual — $19.95 a month, $239.40 a year. Cheaper than every AI option here and the wrong purchase if the bottleneck is producing words rather than arranging them.
  • Hootsuite Standard — $99 per user per month billed annually, $1,188 a year. It is the only option here built for approving other people’s content, which is a different job from the one in this example.

Six Traps on LinkedIn Tool Pricing Pages

None of these are hidden fees in the deceptive sense. They are differences in what you assumed a word like “plan” or “profile” meant, and each one has cost somebody a tier upgrade.

  • A cheap entry tier that does not include the feature you came for. Taplio Starter at $39 has no AI writing, MagicPost Analytics at $21 has no post generator, and Metricool’s free plan excludes LinkedIn from its network list. In all three cases the real entry price sits one tier up.
  • Annual-only pricing on the plan you want. Typefully’s plan comparison lists its Creator tier with annual billing only — no monthly option — while the free plan allows one social set and 10 posts a month (typefully.com/pricing). Read the billing column, not the headline figure.
  • Minimum quantities. AuthoredUp’s Business plan is cheaper per profile than its Individual plan but requires three profiles, so a solo creator comparing per-profile prices is comparing a plan they cannot buy.
  • Three different meters in one shortlist. Buffer charges per channel, Hootsuite per user, AuthoredUp per profile, Metricool per brand, Postiv per workspace. A model that is cheapest for one person is usually the most expensive for three, so price the shortlist at headcount plus one.
  • Currency and discount toggles. Metricool’s pricing page defaults to EUR with a USD switch; Postiv’s creator tier shows the annual-effective price with a 50% discount badge, so the month-to-month number is double what the card appears to say. Screenshot the configured price before you pay.
  • The comparison page itself. Nine of the ten results for this query recommend the publisher’s own tool first, and the vendor’s own pricing post appears above every independent one. Use them for feature lists, then price your own usage on the vendor’s page.

FAQ: Taplio Alternatives for Solo Creators

Q: Is Taplio worth $69 a month for a solo consultant? A: Only if you use the research layer. The AI writer, the viral post database and the LinkedIn Benchmark are what the $69 buys, and the benchmark data is the part no cheaper tool here reproduces. If your bottleneck is editing rather than ideas, Supergrow Pro at $39 or AuthoredUp at $19.95 solves it for less. If your bottleneck is knowing what to write about, the $30 difference is cheap.

Q: What is the cheapest alternative that still includes AI drafting? A: Supergrow Starter at $19 a month billed monthly, with voice profiling, two Postcast interview sessions a month, repurposing and scheduling included. MagicPost’s AI writer starts at $39 a month billed annually, and Taplio’s starts at $69. The $19 tier is trimmed — no carousel maker, no analytics — so read the feature list against your calendar.

Q: Do these tools publish through LinkedIn’s official API or a browser extension? A: It varies, and the vendors are the only source. MagicPost’s pricing page states it is a LinkedIn-verified partner; Taplio’s own pricing FAQ describes a free companion Chrome extension, which it says works alongside a normal account. We have not audited them against LinkedIn’s developer terms, and we treat unverified account-risk claims on either side as marketing.

Q: Can I replace Taplio with Buffer? A: For publishing, yes, and for $10 a month on Team if you only run LinkedIn. What you give up is everything specific to LinkedIn content: no hook library, no viral post research, no AI voice profile, no profile analytics. Buffer is the cheaper scheduler in a stack that still needs a writing tool; it is not a substitute for one.

Q: How should I compare these if I might add a second profile next year? A: Price every option at two profiles and 12 posts a month, not one. AuthoredUp Business is $14.95 per profile with a three-profile minimum; Postiv Team jumps to $159 a month for three seats; Buffer charges by channel, so a second profile is $10; Hootsuite charges per user, so a second person doubles the bill. The cheapest plan at one profile is regularly the worst value at three.

Key Takeaways

  • 1Nine of the ten pages ranking for Taplio alternatives sell a LinkedIn tool and rank their own first; this audit sells nothing.
  • 2Taplio Starter at $39 includes no AI writing by the vendor’s own account; the real AI entry is Growth at $69 a month.
  • 3Supergrow Starter at $19 a month is the cheapest verified tier with AI drafting; MagicPost matches at $39 billed annually.
  • 4Buffer Team bills $10 per channel a month against Hootsuite Standard at $99 per user, so the meters diverge as a team grows.
  • 5At the BLS figure of $35.94 an hour, three hours a month of editing saved covers about $108 of software.
