Our Own Archive, Audited: 51 Posts and What Got Cut
We ran the first two steps of this method on our own site before writing the rest. The archive holds 51 posts published between 2 June and 12 September 2026: 15 from June, 7 from July, 17 from August, and 12 from September. The oldest is 103 days old today. There is no year-over-year window to compare against and no 90-day window either, because the site is barely older than that itself — a live example of the fallback case rather than a hypothetical one.
The method still produces a queue. The June and July cohort — 22 posts, many of them listicle-format pages aimed at head terms — sorts first, because those are the pages whose impressions sit furthest from a click and whose content is old enough to have drifted away from the queries that now reach them. The 12 September posts are excluded from this sprint on principle: they have not completed a single full data cycle, so any verdict on them would be a guess dressed as analysis.
